Instead of just *eye roll*, make an argument on why you think someone charging between $150 and $450 dls an hour needs a tip (a model invented by employers that didn’t pay a salary to waiters during prohibition). If you want to tip go ahead but it’s wrong to be expected of you by default in this particular case.
To those complaining about those complaining about the tip. If the artists is earning so little he/she should charge more. Also they HAVE to draw the tattoo and research, it’s their job. You don’t charge your employer for each individual task it takes for you to complete your job but you charge for the whole. Anyone who isn’t happy to see me back after I just paid $450 DLS for an hour of their time, is just greedy. Also, “your” not “you’re” in my previous comment.
I think expecting a tip when you just charged in an hour what most people make in 2 or 3 days is just greedy. You showed you’re appreciation for the artist by recognising an hour of his/her work is worth 3 days of yours.
