Whether you have booked a guided tour or have rented a car and driving through the countryside to reach Mount Pantokrator, you will surely pass through the island lush countryside and timeless villages. The villages seem to be asleep in comparison to the vibrant city. The air of tranquillity hits you instantly, as you find yourself within rich natural landscapes and serene villages. The villages you pass by are a great place to stop and have a quick break. You may enjoy a traditional Greek coffee at one of the kafenia or a Corfian ginger beer! Don't drink too much though; you still have a long way before reaching the peak of the mountain.

The western coastline of the island is made up of stunning bay with glistening light-blue waters. One of the best bays in Corfu is Palaiokrastritisa. Most visitors prefer taking boat trips around the coast, which sail towards the most popular bays and caves but also the most hidden and remote like the wonderful Blue Eyed Caves. Some of the bays are only accessible by boat.

Sights & Attractions: Achillion Palace

Corfu is full of attractions and sights to visit! One of the most dominating and impressive is the Achilleion Palace. The architectural masterpiece was built by Elizabeth of Bavaria, also known as the Empress of Austria. Besides appreciating the art of the architecture, you will be amazed by the palace’s blossoming gardens packed with statues and sculptures. From the grounds you can enjoy spectacular views of the coast and surrounding landscape.

The Canal D’Amour

The Canal D’Amour, or otherwise in English, the Canal of Love, is found tucked away in Sidari. The flowing canal is a natural wonder, with interesting and eye-catchy rock formations. According to legend, any couple who takes a dip in the canal will forever be together! So before taking the big leap, make sure you really love and cherish your partner for better or worse!

Theotoky Estate

On the way to Ropa Valley, yet another beautiful unmanned wonder of nature, many stop by the renowned Theotoky Estate.
