I don’t think you’re paying attention to what’s at stake. The family is suing the school for not protecting their daughter. If they win, then schools will be tasked to monitor students online profiles. Students will lose their “off-campus” privacy, all in the name of security. Reason, not emotions. The school reporters thought something didn’t sound right with the accusations that the family’s lawyer was making. They’re suing the school district, not the rapist. Bravo on the students who decided to see what really happened instead of taking an adult’s word for it.
