Boston's Subway Won't See Full Service For At Least 30 Days

And if there's another heavy snowfall, full service restoration will be delayed even further.

Boston's subway system won't see full service for at least another 30 days – and that's only if there isn't another major snowstorm, general manager Beverly Scott said Monday, according to the Boston Globe.

Boston has been crushed by record-setting snowfalls this year. It's the seventh-largest snowfall for the season, with nearly 83 inches, and 82.7" for the season, and its the "snowiest month on record with 45.5 total inches. The old record was 43.3 in January 2005," according to the National Weather Service.

An MBTA spokesman didn't immediately return a request for comment from BuzzFeed News.

Commuters were not happy with the announcement:

30 days until @MBTA is back to *normal #BOSnow *and by normal they mean still kinda subpar

.@MBTA holding my breath for the refunds we'll all be getting for complete lack of service

@MBTA #mbta So with less service & always running late, is my monthly pass going down? Also, did you not expect cold & snow in the winter?

30 DAYS BEFORE FULL SERVICE RESUMES ON THE #MBTA (IF THERE'S NO SNOW)!?! MY HEAD IS GOING TO EXPLODE!
