The Stolen Global Warming E-Mail Saga

Anti-global warming hackers leaked a batch of crafty e-mails written by prominent scientists, and now no one believes in climate change anymore. Here is the whole drama explained, including the part where it seems like scientists falsified their data. (They didn't!) Lesson: global warming is still real. Second lesson: don't share your e-mail password.

  • There are some holes in the AGW Theory.
Here is a few of them. “Warming fears are the worst scientific scandal in history.
When people come to know what the truth is, they will feel deceived by science and scientists.”
    - UN IPCC Scientist DR. Kiminon Itoh, an award-winning PhD environmental physical chemist “CO2 emissions make absolutely no difference one way or another. Every scientist knows this, but it doesn’t pay to say so.”
-Dr. Takeda Kuunihiko, vice-chancellor of the Institute of Science and Technology Research in Japan “It doesn’t matter what is true, it only matters what people believe is true.”
    - Paul Watson, Co-founder of Greenpeace. Interesting 10 min Video I came across.

  • You people who dream about AGW and hope it's true are just hating the fact that I'm driving my Hummer and burning wood in my fireplace. You want so bad to control how other's live their lives that you latch on to these doomsday predictions that will never come true so you can force others to live how you want them too. At least be honest why you support this hogwash, and it's not because you want to save the planet.

  • No climate change eh? Tell that to the inhabitants of villages that sunk in melting permafrost up north.

  • Since no one is actually reading this, it's all summed up in the last two paragraphs: “According to PSU's Mann, that statistical “trick” that Jones refers to in one e-mail — which has been trumpeted by skeptics — simply referred to the replacing of proxy temperature data from tree rings in recent years with more accurate data from air temperatures. It's an analytical technique that has been openly discussed in scientific journals for over a decade — hardly the stuff of conspiracy. As for Mann and Jones' apparent effort to punish the journal Climate Research, the paper that ignited his indignation is a 2003 study that turned out to be underwritten by the American Petroleum Institute. Eventually half the editorial board of the journal quit in protest. And even if CRU's climate data turns out to have some holes, the group is only one of four major agencies, including NASA, that contribute temperature data to major climate models — and CRU's data largely matches up with the others'.” THERE IS NO FRAUD.

  • To clarify: the “LOL” tag was directed at the absurdities some are resorting to in order to keep their heads firmly ensconced in their rectums. It's ironic how when credible science no longer supports their presumptive conclusions they revert to a rationale more often associated with religions.

  • And the carbon trading scheme will do SFA to fix the climate. Climate change is happening but a tax collected by the world bank will not save the planet. (Maybe we should tax the sun)
