Does She Really Like Football?

Many girls pretend to like football for a variety of very sad, sad reasons like getting a guy to like them. REALLY?! Are you in kindergarten? Women already have so many forms of deception they use on men I think it’s fair to help you guys out and expose one form of our wizardry. Here are the four kinds of girl football fans you’ll find. Some are legit. Others not so much. You’ve been warned.

1. The Fraud

WARNING! Watch out for this sneaky one! This girl has hopped on some team’s bandwagon for no better reason that it’s the first one that popped into her head or its her “family’s team”. She LOVES to talk about football, but typically has no original commentary, just repeats everything she hears other people saying and takes her cues to cheer from everyone else.

2. The On The Fencer

This girl falls somewhere in between an actual fan and someone who just doesn't give a damn. She watches games with you, her slight interest is sincere, she comments every now and then leaving the intense smack talk to the boys, but if she had it her way you'd be switching between football and the latest chick flick or cooking show instead of a full day of football.

3. The Diehards

These girls are true fans. They understand the game and can actually hold a coherent conversation about it, hell they might even be a part of a Fantasy Football League. While they exist these girls are extremely rare, please never confuse with the frauds (see number 1).

4. The So-Whaters

I definitely fall into this category. An ex-boyfriend once yelled at me when I turn the TV to one of the Real Housewives during MNF. This is the best game of the season he said. All of my top fantasy players are in this game he said. My response, “So What” Like most girls in this category I just do not care about football at all. For this girl the allure of football is completely over her head. She rarely watches the games even when everyone else around her is and she will probably never watch them by herself. It’s just not her thing, but hey at least she’s honest.
