12 Times SketchFactor Got Too Hilarious For Its Own Good

Yet another app you didn't know you needed.

If you haven't heard of it, SketchFactor is a new app that uses crowdsourcing to tell you when you're in a "sketchy" area and what kind of incidents have occurred nearby.

The app has been receiving a lot of negative criticism lately for inadvertently being totally racist. But that aside, some individuals in San Francisco (and everywhere else presumably) have been using the app for much more hilarious purposes. Namely, poking fun at the city's techies, yuppies, and hipsters. Here's just a few examples:

    1. When someone described the kind of people ruining the neighborhood.

    2. When someone made a jab at the Google busers.

    3. That time someone straight up said what they were thinking.

    4. When the gang warfare really escalated.

    5. When someone got real with some social commentary on gentrification in the Mission District.

    6. That time someone witnessed the outcome of a tragic Yelp review.

    7. Some incidents were less offensive than others.

    8. Some were down right obnoxious.

    9. That time someone took a trip to Alcatraz.

    10. When someone went across the bay to Oakland, and things got weird.

    11. When there were more hipsters in Oakland's Temescal District.

    12. When someone finally said what we were all thinking.
