You didn’t have to be grateful or flatter her or shower her with compliments to get her to sit and talk to you. Respect doesn’t mean being a sycophant. Believe it or not, subjects often sit down with critics or journalists who have criticized them in the past.

She can be snarky and risk professionalism in her private emails, but posting it on a public site in a transparent effort to provoke some sort of “isn’t Rebeck ridiculous?” sentiment is what’s getting me. There is no point to this point other than to laugh at Rebeck.

You’re digging yourself into the ground here. Her email doesn’t warrant a public shaming by you on Buzzfeed. Did Rebeck respond to your article on a public forum. No. Probably because she wanted to have a private conversation with you (that you could’ve turned into a a great interview opportunity; instead you burned that bridge and proved yourself to be very unprofessional).  I get “mean” emails from people all day at work. It doesn’t mean that I get to make attempts at humiliation or respond with disrespect.

Honestly. This post is an exercise in playground politics. “Oh, hey, everyone! Look at how stupid Rebeck looks! Let’s all point and laugh at her private emails!”

Also very disappointing to see you behave this way towards another professional woman.

Man, your email back to Theresa was wildly unprofessional. Regardless of how you feel about her work (and you can criticize it all day), your manner and tone is disrespectful, and it’s alarming that your Buzzfeed bosses are supporting your behavior.  Look at this as a missed opportunity - if you had respectfully declined to take down your article, but offered to have a conversation, then Rebeck might’ve said yes, leading to an exclusive interview. Instead you’ve lambasted her and implied that many “sources”/people think she and Smash are shitty. What is this? If I were you I would take this down when you start applying for more legitimate jobs.

You’re not bisexual; judging from your article you probably wouldn’t have a full-blown, long-term, emotional relationship with a woman. This article simply proves that you want to have sex with women, but to claim “bisexuality” is wrong and hurtful and misleading. Grow up.
