Melissa M. 3 years agothese models are only “plus size” in the fashion world. none of these women are a women’s size 16 or more… maybe that’s the issue. we don’t consider a size 10 or 12 - or even a 14 to be “plus size” clothing. that being said, these four women with their visible curves are sexy as hell. MEOW.

Billy 3 years agoI found it slightly amusing that so many people were applauding Dove when their “love the skin you’re in” campaign came out. I felt like the only person who saw it more like, “You can be a size 16 and still be beautiful. As long as you have good skin, anyway.” That said, I don’t think it’s the fault of these ads that make women feel badly about themselves. I think the problem’s that women see the ads after being socialized in our culture that preaches beauty as one of the top factors in valuing people. If society weren’t so focused on beauty in general, I doubt women would react the same way to these ads.

worstblogger 3 years agoIs it because plus-sized models are only really plus-sized in that they’re bigger than the size 2 models used for normal clothes? Most ‘plus-sized’ models look like a 12 or 14, even though plus-sized clothes are size 16 and over.
