I read the title and thought that Rivers Cuomo was actually dead, but it didn't really upset me all that much. Now I feel like I have to personally apologize to Rivers Cuomo for not caring enough whether he lives or dies. And I don't even have his phone number. Thanks BuzzFeed.

The title of the actual article is…”Rivers Cuomo is a dead man. miss him, miss him, a direct reference to the paul mccartney hoax. I am sorry if that was misleading. this is a satire on that previous hoax, not a cheap joke about rivers cuomo. i am extremely sorry that some people are freaking out over this as they were mislead to believe he was actually dead. that was not my original intention! rivers cuomo is the best, and so are you the internet. my bad!
