Not everyone who is trans* identifies as being a man or a woman. Many of us fall somewhere in the middle of the spectrum.
The concept of gender neutral pronouns (they/them; ze/hir; etc.) is new for many people, but we’re not trying to complicate things just for the sake of complicating them. It’s about respect, being seen and feeling understood.
