“He was attacked on Twitter for his comments that put blame on hip-hop culture profiting from “thug” behavior.” I’ll have to agree with this quote and him stating that, I applaud. No matter how vile or decadent, it seems we in the black community are apologists for what promotes incivility in our communities. Glad he mentioned it and brought it up. We love JZ, Snoop dog with women on chains, Lil Wayne, etc. Heroes that we don’t believe effect our psyche or behavior. So add him to the Bill Cosby column for black people that care, but should never speak because they are spreading our business. LMAO But as others mentioned, there is more to our collective than just what Lemon mentioned and he needed to bring up examples of great things and people in our communities to have balance as a journalist.
