The heresy in saying I'm A Believer was originally by Smashmouth. Smashmouth did the cover that's in Shrek featuring Eddie Murphy. The Monkees recorded that song originally and did it magnificently.
A number of the people who died at that show were children. I understand his intention was not to make fun of the situation and to make people think and talk about controversial issues. But using their story and their suffering as a throw away line is cheap and disgusting.
