What confuses me the most about these classic TV show porn parodies that seem to be all the rage these days, are their absolutely clean cut PG-rated trailers It's like watching an episode of Mad TV…but knowing you're missing something.

Holy crap, Videogum just struck gold. I can't even tell you how many plot arcs and twists are crammed into this two minutes of glory. God, vampires, rhythmic gymnastics, a drowning chick…I will never watch inspirational dance movies in the same way again.

MOVIE BUZZ: This is a movie starring John Krasinski, Maya Rudolph, Jeff Daniels, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Cathering O'Hara, and Allison Janney (among others), directed by Sam Mendes, with a screenplay by David Eggers . In other words, it is my Platonic ideal of film. The first trailer is now available for your viewing pleasure; if you need me, I'll be making a bearded-Krasinski countdown calendar in the other room.

Yet another Christian Bale remix (sorry), but this time it's Jennifer Aniston getting yelled at. This is both funny and important, because if you pay money to see this movie, then you deserve what Mr. Bale is dishing out. Verbal abuse is not a joke; it is a tool to dissuade women from seeing apocryphally bad self-help films.

The first teaser trailer for the movie, Notorious, telling the true story of legendary rapper Notorious B.I.G. has just been released. Look for it in theaters January 16, 2009. If you don’t get chills watching this trailer, you obviously haven’t listened to Biggie while sippin’ 40s and attempting to rap, “Biggie Biggie Biggie, can’t you see - sometimes your words just hypnotize me.” Plus, the shot of the Twin Towers in the trailer chokes us up.

Don LaFontaine, the voice of a thousand dramatic movie trailers, died Monday at age 68. His voice is instantly recognizable, and apparently he also coined the phrase “In a world…” himself. Movie trailers will sound so weird without him around.
