Tech Buzz You've heard about Shenzhen. Now let's take a tour of the the world's other electronics manufacturing megacities.
Culture Buzz This is truly heartbreaking. On January 4th, Deff Yingyuen married his deceased girlfriend Sarinya Kamsook (R.I.P.) in the city of Surin, Thailand. The couple had been together for 10 years, but Sarinya tragically died in an car accident the day before the wedding. Deff wanted to go forward with the ceremony anyway.

Reading that headline may or may not have broken your brain. After waiting more than a decade to tie the knot, this Thailand couple was struck by tragedy.
Culture Buzz Terrifying and tragic. The man with the hatchet is dying of kidney disease but can't afford the treatment to save his life. He held this man hostage in a desperate bid to get money for the procedure. Fortunately the standoff was resolved peacefully.
Culture Buzz And also dudes. P.C. Air out of Thailand has a stewardess roster staffed completely by transsexuals. When you fly lady boy, you fly in style.
Culture Buzz See? Our species isn't always awful. Following in the prosthetic footsteps of Motala, this is Mosha. An organization called Friends of the Asian Elephant provided Mosha with an artificial limb after she lost her leg to a landmine in Thailand.

So a Thailand-based life insurance agency made a commercial that is just about as tearjerking as a commercial can get. I haven't cried this hard since those Coca-Cola polar bear commercials. Granted, I'm terrified of polar bears so that was probably for different reasons. (Make sure you hit the “cc” button if the subtitles don't show up.) (via reddit.com)
Culture Buzz Two men in Thailand have been arrested for poaching after images they took of themselves with their “prizes” fell into the hands of authorities. Calling these men dumb both for poaching and how they got caught would be an understatement.
Food Buzz A whole smorgasbord of menu items available at McDonald's restaurants abroad that we in the United States can only salivate over from afar. Those creeps at McDonald's International are holding out on us.
