SCIENCE BUZZ: There's been a wee bit of a setback to Al-Qaeda's dastardly plans this week, as they've all been coming down with the black plague. A terrorist cell in Algeria was first struck with the black death, and the disease may have spread to other Al-Qaeda camps and to the Taliban. Apparently that stuff is pretty contagious. On a much scarier note, some people are speculating that the group may have been experimenting with biological weapons.

TECH BUZZ: The Mumbai terrorists used cocaine to stay awake and multiple Blackberrys to map out their attacks. They were also mostly dressed in trendy t-shirts and jeans and did nothing to protect their identity. Whoever the attackers were, they were also down with Twitter: media outlets asked victims to stop tweeting during the sieges for fear that it would provide the terrorists with extra information.

TECH BUZZ: The U.S. Army sees Twitter as a potential weapon of mass destruction for terrorists. The Army’s report says in part, “Twitter is already used by some members to post and/or support extremist ideologies and perspectives.” I assume they’re talking about Apple fanboys or Ashley Todd .
