A live teleprompter fail Sunday night at the BET Awards. The presenter, a young woman who had won a contest to present at the awards, named the Viewers' Choice Award winner as Chris Brown, then mistakenly corrected herself and said Rihanna. Adding to the confusion, Drake took to the stage to accept the award. At the conclusion of the show, host Kevin Hart said that Chris Brown was the actual winner. BET later said the fault wasn't with the presenter, but with the teleprompter.
The anchor curses out Brian Williams while bringing all the news that “Mattersons to Patterson. Springs.” His version of the young Bill O’Reilly seems to be part Geraldo, too.
Politics Buzz Ever since his 2004 keynote address at the Democratic National Convention, Barack Obama has won praise for his eloquence, even earning comparisons to Martin Luther King. But as Karl Rove and others have observed, Obama was the only candidate relying on a teleprompter for his big election night speeches, which makes all that “yes, we can” stuff feel a bit…calculated.
