Sports Buzz I have to applaud the camera work of ESPN in the two minutes after Austin Rivers' game-winning three-pointer against North Carolina. They captured an absolute gamut of emotions from a great cast of characters. (via ESPN's YouTube page.)
Sports Buzz After five sets and several rain delays, the 22 year old Spaniard beat five-time champion Roger Federer to win Wimbledon in one of the longest, most gripping games in the history of tennis. Unflappable John McEnroe was so visibly moved by the results that he offered Federer a hug live on air, which is like watching a grizzly bear shopping for tampons. You just don’t see that kind of thing happen every day.
Shaquille O’Neal rapping about how Kobe Bryant can’t win an NBA championship without him, and why he blames Kobe for his divorce. Though they’ve made up in public, footage of Shaq freestyling about Kobe (“Kobe, tell me how my ass tastes”) raises some questions about whether they’re still, you know, feeling the love.
