German take the prize for plating with this fantastic way of serving ice cream: it looks just like spaghetti! Called “Spaghettieis,” this masquerading dish is can really only be found in Germany and is made with strawberry sauce, coconut flakes & ice cream! If Koreans can put spaghetti in a cone, then Germans can certainly make ice cream into spaghetti. To this I can only say: (über) NOM NOM NOM.
When this report was broadcast on the BBC in 1957, hundreds of people phoned in asking how they could grow their own spaghetti trees. I have so many fond memories of spaghetti-harvesting time on my Grandpa’s farm…except for that one terrible year when the spaghetti weevil wiped out the whole crop.
