An outbreak of flesh-eating disease in Los Angeles and New York has been linked to cocaine that’s been cut with levamisole, a veterinary medicine used to deworm livestock. Scientists in Stuttgart have developed a technique for manufacturing human skin. Using robots to maintain a sterile growing environment, the scientists hope to produce tissue, cartilage, and even entire organs to transplant in humans. They claim the skin is being manufactured to treat injuries and medical conditions, but I’m pretty sure it’s a front for a Cylon building factory.
