The Sears Tower opened a new observation deck that is basically a glass box hanging out 1,353 feet over Chicago. You could not pay me enough money to stand in that box of Death, but the picture is cool in a Jetsons sort of way.

Chicago's Sears Tower is being renamed Willis Tower for a London insurance Group, Willlis Holdings, that leased 150,000 square feet of office space. Built in 1973, the 110-story building housed the Sears Corporation until they moved to Hoffman Estates, IL. Sears naming rights expired a few years ago. Think of all the postcards and souvenirs that will wind up in the Dollar Stores because of this change.

The 4th largest building in the world (thanks Wikipedia) is getting a name change. The Sears Tower will soon been known as the Willis Tower. Willis International, an insurance company, is taking over the building this summer.
