Seriously, PIX 11, what the hell? Felonious Munk is a comedian whose vast array of work includes a web series called “Stop It B” (make sure you check out his hilarious take on the “No homo” craze!). Munk visited today’s 5:00 PM newscast on New York’s PIX 11 to give his take on the controversy over now-suspended CNN commentator Roland Martin’s anti-gay Super Bowl tweets. I wish he hadn’t.
Roland S. Martin is about to have even more time to tweet. That’s because CNN announced this afternoon that Martin, a contributor to the network, has been suspended indefinitely following a pair of homophobic tweets he wrote during last Sunday’s Super Bowl (which, as BuzzFeed pointed out, were representative of a larger anti-gay pattern of his).
CNN commentator Roland S. Martin raised eyebrows on Sunday when he seemingly advocated violence against gay men in a series of tweets. Martin has since denied that the tweets were homophobic, but a quick look back on his Twitter timeline reveals a history of questionable statements.
