MUSIC BUZZ: Jamal Woolard, a Brooklyn-based rapper best known as “Gravy,” has been tapped to play rap icon Biggie Smalls, in the upcoming biopic Notorious. He’s so obscure we can barely find anything about his actual music career, except that he released some albums on indie labels back in the 90s. If getting non-actors to play famous dead musicians becomes a trend, we’d like to see Conor Oberst as a young Kurt Cobain.
