A 20-inch Egyptian cobra escaped from its enclosure in the reptile house of the Bronx Zoo, and people (specifically the media) are flipping the eff out. Its venom can kill an elephant. Hide your kids, hide your wife, hide your elephants.

Rachael Ray published her recipe for “Isaboos Butternut Squash Mac and Cheddar” in Modern Dog magazine, without a warning that it’s actually not for doggy consumption. See, it’s completely toxic to dogs because it includes onions! Somewhat hilariously, she posted it alongside a memorial to “Boo” who died suddenly…without explanation…perhaps eating her favorite Mac & Cheddar squash dish?

Eighteen Alaskan scientists are on a mission to exterminate an enormous population of Norway rats that have overtaken Rat Island, a tiny island at the end of the Aleutian chain. The rats, who will soon face $3 million worth of tiny toxic pebbles, jumped off a shipwrecked Japanese ship sometime in the 18th century and have been breeding like coeds ever since.
