SPORTS BUZZ: The olympic gold medalist and world record-holder has positioned himself as an advocate and ambassador of swimming for reluctant black children. He’s only the third African-American swimmer to make the U.S. Olympic squad. The oldest female Olympic swimmer makes an amazing comeback after 7 years of retirement, as well as a pregnancy. Update: She wins silver to become the oldest swimming medalist in history. Update: She wins two more silver to finish the games! At 41-years-old, Dara Torres not only qualified for the Olympics but she also managed to break the American record in the process. Now she is the new idol and inspiration for millions middle aged Americans. I guess there is life after 40! Who knew?
