Actresses Alessandra Toressani and Francesca Eastwood (Clint’s daughter) make the SWAT team’s day in photographer Tyler Shield’s version of the UC Davis incident. Yes, that’s real pepper spray.
It’s illegal to camp out in the parks in Melbourne, Australia, so protesters decided to wear their tents as clothing. In America, this is what we would call trolling the cops. (via mpviral.com)
This is a pretty telling difference if ever there was one. I don’t know whether I should be annoyed with Time Magazine for being so cynical as to think that Americans wouldn’t be interested in the international cover story, or if I should be annoyed with Americans for giving Time reason to be cynical. The venerable Senator (and Occupy Wall Street supporter) Bernie Sanders held a town hall meeting at a Vermont high school last weekend, where World War II Veteran Verne McGrew stole the show. Listen to the kind man’s wise words. (via sanders.senate.gov)

Considering the behavior of certain police lately, this photo is oozing with righteous schadenfreude. This anonymous Chilean activist just delivered the taint shot heard round the world. Kick whichever ass you choose with our handy Photo Editor at the bottom of the page!

If this doesn’t make you mad about all of the recent Occupy police brutality, I don’t know what will.
Here is a sampling of what books were destroyed.
Dan Siegel will no longer be advising Mayor Jean Quan on legal matters. Instead he has decided to stand with the 99%. This comes after Siegel urged people to head to the protests last night to stand with the protestors as the police raided their camp. (via twitter.com)
dicknose graphic novelist and film director responsible for “Sin City” and “300” posted a memo to the “pond scum” on his blog this week, suggesting the demonstrators all go enlist in the military for “the real thing.” Read his note in its entirely below.
#Occupy protestors receive some kind words from a somewhat unlikely place.
