This hog survived being buried under earthquake debris for 36 days by eating charcoal and rainwater. Originally weighing 150kg, he only measured up at 50kg when he was finally rescued. They named him “Zhu Jianquiang” (Strong-willed pig) for good reason! The lucky piggy is now living out his days in luxury at the earthquake exhibit in the Jianchuan Museum, and is back up to a healthy weight of 200kg.
