Authorities are searching for three people after a massive mudslide hit western Colorado following a long weekend of rain in the area. UPDATE: The search has been put on hold because of unstable conditions and risk of another slide.
The March 22 mudslide killed at least 41 people in a tiny community about an hour northeast of Seattle.
The number of people missing has been reduced to 10, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said.
The mudslide that struck Oso, Wash., last Saturday killed at least 28 people.
An official said 17 people were confirmed dead and eight other bodies were believed to have been located in the mudslide, but had not yet been recovered.
