A beautiful montage of the movies of 2008. This is so well done, it makes even movies that I am fully aware were ridiculous (I'm looking at you, Harrison Ford) seem like uplifting masterpieces.

Basically, it's Twilight in 10 minutes (instead of 2 hours) and minus the screaming girls. With lines like: “I'm just a hollow placeholder for all of the teenage girls in the audience to project their personalities onto,” Cracked takes a crack at summarizing hit vampire movie, Twilight .

A documentary about a murder, a son, a friend and a father. After Andrew Bagby was murdered, a friend set out to make a documentary about Bagby's life for his infant son, Zachary. But Zachary's mother is also the prime suspect in Bagby's murder, making this a very complicated story to tell — and the ending is just heartbreaking. Dear Zachary has been making the film festival and art house rounds, but it airs this Sunday at 9 EDT on MSNBC.

MOVIE BUZZ: Jean Claude Van Damme plays himself in this meta movie about a washed-up action hero who’s down on his luck and trying to make a comeback. Against all odds, this actually looks pretty good.

MOVIE BUZZ: A comeback film for Mickey Rourke and director Darren Aronofsky, The Wrestler is already generating lots of Oscar buzz. Personally, I just want to see if for the head stapling scene, but I’ve got issues that I can only work out via cinema. (The movie opens December 19th.)

MOVIE BUZZ: A non-standard rom-com about a video clerk and his porn-loving customer. This seems interesting and quirky without falling into the deathtrap of mumblecore , but we’ll have to see it to be sure.

The trailer for the new Harry Potter movie is out. Continuing the trend, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” (coming in November) looks dark and scary and involves a lot of magic.

MOVIE BUZZ: Watch first scene of The Wackness online — it’s in theaters today. The Wackness follows the story of a teenager who trades marijuana for therapy in the summer of 1994, just before Giuliani takes office and NYC changes foreva’. The promising cast includes Josh Peck, Ben Kingsley, Olivia Thirlby, and Mary-Kate Olsen. I can’t wait to see MK & Kingsley’s steamy make-out scene.

Bond is back, and he’s very, very angry. Quantum of Solace (weird name, right?) starts up right where Casion Royale left off, with James Bond hunting down the man responsible for his girlfriend’s death. The movie comes out Nov. 7. (Just days after the election! What a week!)
