Movie Buzz Apparently, there is an even dumber way to do a film adaptation of Battleship. On the plus side, this would have a way better soundtrack I guess.
Now we all know the reason why. Let us make sure it never happens again.

The famously misanthropic author behind the book seems visibly enthusiastic about Spike Jonze and Dave Eggers's predictably twee, luscious film adaptation set to open this fall. Not that we weren't going to see it, but when Maurice Sendak gives something the ok, it goes to the top of the list.
Movie Buzz The infamous blogger’s book, “I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell” (a collection of stories about Tucker’s sexual conquests), is now a film slated for release next year. And the screenplay is getting passed around Hollywood like an obvious STD joke. Gawker has the highlights. Most of the script is just a love-fest for the “boyishly charming” Tucker (as he calls himself in a parenthetical dialog note). He intimidates bartenders! Women laugh at his jokes! That deaf girl was totally going to come right before that coitus interruptus! But the widespread mockery of his film, like the widespread mockery of his misogynist book and blog before it, probably won’t stop his target market of douchebags from keeping the Tucker Max flame alive.
