World’s Most Expensive Monet
Monet’s “Le Bassin aux Nymphéas” set a record for the artist being sold for a whopping $80.4 million at Christie’s. The painting was expected to sell for between $36 million and $47 million, but the price quickly jumped at the raise of several hands. “The Railroad Bridge at Argenteuil” held the record for most expensive Monet previously being sold last month for $41 million.
