With only a 225-vote lead after the weekend, many news outlets are asserting that the SNL veteran will be announced as winner of the Senatorial race.
In continuing Minnesota Senate Recount Madness, the Canvassing Board deemed “Lizard People” to be a real person, while a ballot for Brett Favre was judged a fake vote. This would be even funnier if the Lizard People didn't take a vote away from Franken, but still. Democracy at work!
A few Senate races have come to that most dreaded of political results: the recount. Norm Coleman leads funnyman Al Franken by only a few hundred votes in MN, and GA may require recounts as well. Alaska remains too close to call, which, regardless of outcome, means a felon was this close to retaining his Senate seat.
