Hot girl overload! David Letterman welcomed 10 models featured in the 2012 “Sports Illustrated” Swimsuit Issue to tonight’s “Late Show,” first to assist him with the night’s Top 10 list (of reasons this edition is the best one ever), and later to wait anxiously as he unveiled the cover, flanked this year by 19-year-old Michigander Kate Upton.
“From dolls to dinosaurs!” Ugh. At this rate, they might as well get rid of every cover line and just put a big “OMG IT’S A BOY!” stamp across her forehead. (via Dlisted)
The trololol is strong in this one. In what I can only assume is a deliberate attempt to anger the entire GOP, Newsweek’s just-released cover for its upcoming issue teases an Andrew Sullivan piece by asking why President Obama’s critics are “so dumb.” Will Republicans take the bait? Only (a very short amount of) time will tell! Also: Yes. (via SoupSoup)
Victoria Beckham for Polaroid! Jesse Eisenberg for Oxy! Fergie for Bongo Jeans! Pink for Jelly Roll gel pens! Looking back, it seems like any ol’ celebrity would slap their name onto a now-dated product with little remorse for how it would translate years later.

Entitled Cadeaux, this article in the Dec-Jan issue of Vogue Paris is a perfect example of how you DON’T want to showcase kids in a fashion magazine. If you must do a kids x couture shoot, this is how you do it. (Via TrendLand who seem to think it’s “adorable.”) View List ›

The pieces of paper that fall out of magazines into your lap. “This magazine is full of lap flaps!”
Man’s Life was a pulp adventure magazine for men (obviously) published in the 1950s. Based on the covers, I’d say that they ran a lot of stories about half-naked studs fending off animal attacks in rivers. View List ›

Woody Allen penned a short story for The New Yorker about elderly New York Jews reincarnated as lobsters. Oh, and Bernie Madoff weasels his way in there, too. The irony, of course? Lobster is about as kosher as a nun covered in pig fat.
