The June 1st New Yorker cover was finger-painted by artist Jorge Colombo using the Brushes app on his iPhone. Overall it took him just an hour to draw the scene outside Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Times Square, and for the process nuts, there's a corresponding video that shows every streak - from start to finish.

Woody Allen penned a short story for The New Yorker about elderly New York Jews reincarnated as lobsters. Oh, and Bernie Madoff weasels his way in there, too. The irony, of course? Lobster is about as kosher as a nun covered in pig fat.

CELEBRITY BUZZ: Ice-T’s wife - famous for dressing up all gross on the red carpet - has launched a magazine. It’s called Coco Magazine . It’s filled with pictures of herself, all naked and stuff. We weren’t sure if we should have filed this under “Celebrity Buzz,” but we don’t yet have a Buzzfeed category that aggregates “Skanky Ladies.”

TECH BUZZ: The “Netflix for magazines” from Time Inc. is in beta at long last… And it isn’t half bad! There are 240 titles, and for only $5/month, you can get three magazines you wouldn’t normally buy on the newsstand or subscribe to full price (here’s looking at you, Martha Stewart Living/Best Life!) delivered to your doorstep. Until this thing (inevitably) goes out of business, it’s pretty fun to try out.

Burning flags, Osama Bin Laden, Turbans, AK-47’s and Obama’s terrorist fist jab are all featured in this sure-to-be-controversial cover of The New Yorker. The artist behind the cartoon said he is trying to satirize the baseless scaremongering used against Obama; That didn’t stop the campaign from calling it “tasteless and offensive.”
