1. The pairing of robocops and unicorns made me happy in a way that I can’t even really describe. Is that weird?
2. This concept never actually caught on, but I still think about it sometimes.
3. I have to admit - part of me was a little disappointed that we didn’t get sucked into a black hole when they turned this thing on.
4. I will not miss the endless talk about Twitter’s scalability issues in 2009, but I will miss the Fail Whale very much indeed. I even have the T-shirt.
5. I’m aware that I’m the only person alive who loves Chris Matthews. But this was legitimately awesome.
6. Hitler subtitle mashups were hilarious. That said, I hope I don’t ever see another one.
7. Ze Frank’s Color Wars was like being in a virtual summer camp for nerds. I liked that.
8. I was at the conference when this happened, and it made me realize how awesome Twitter is. Or that I need to get a life. I can’t remember which.
9. To be fair, I would happily watch a video of a cat just sitting there. But it’s more or less sublime when they ride things.
10. Literal music videos were so fucking funny until around the time they suddenly stopped being funny. But here’s where it all started.
11. Terrorist fist jab. ‘Nuff Said.
