TV Buzz A blogger dedicated a site to writing jokes in hopes of getting hired for a gig at Late Night (he Tweets, too). Hey if you can't join 'em…set up a blog or whatever.
TV Buzz According to some surprisingly positive testimonials, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon might not be as bad as the naysayers initially claimed (although, um, the show still hasn't even started yet, silly bullies!). So this is, what, backlash to the backlash to the backlash? I mean, you guys, The Roots is the house band. Not a bad way to start a show.

Conan fanatics, rejoice! Andy Richter will join Conan in L.A. as the show's on-air announcer. Joel Goddard: you will be missed. (But let's be honest: Andy and Conan 2.0 is going to be amazing.)
TV Buzz (No that's not a typo): Jimmy Fallon's much-maligned web show is getting a second chance. Or maybe the internet is self-correcting for the first chance that Fallon never got, because he used to laugh during sketches at SNL. Laughing is in this year.

With his debut as a Late Night host still a few months away, Jimmy Fallon debuted his web series last night by introducing his studio and the new house band, the Roots. It's hard to tell if his manic eyebrow-raising will go over better on TV.
TV Buzz Jimmy Fallon, who will be taking over for Conan in 2009 (who, in turn, will be taking Jay Leno's spot), is releasing nightly 12:30am video blogs to give viewers a taste of what's to come. Hopefully, the blogs will be more than just five minutes of Fallon cracking up at how funny he is.
Despite his recent forays in Crazyville, Bill Cosby proved on a recent episode of Letterman why he's still considered a comedy legend. That sputtered, nice-guy aggression will get us any day, with or without a Jell-O pop reference.
Politics Buzz Catholics are upset about some remarks Bill Maher made about the Pope being a Nazi. They’ve even started a Fire Bill Maher petition. Once again, Bill Maher restates the obvious and gets a lot of attention for doing so.
Celebrity Buzz For his show’s 1000th episode, Jimmy Kimmel spent the day with Richard Simmons, making for a highly disturbing - and, thus, reliably viral - segment. As long as they’re not f*cking. We can only keep track of so much concerning Jimmy Kimmel’s sex life.
Culture Buzz A response site made by a gay playwright who was offended by Jay Leno’s remarks to Ryan Philippe, asking him to give his “gayest look.” People send in photos flipping off Jay Leno. F*ck everything! Well, just Jay Leno and Hummers. Everything else in the world is cool.
