Large Hadron Collider (LHC) may create doors to other dimensions, according to Sergio Bertolucci, who is Director for Research and Scientific Computing at CERN. That is it, man, that is IT! Unexplained breakdowns! Time traveling molecules! Birds attacking with baguettes! Dogs and cats living together!

Repairs on the Large Hadron Collider, which has been shut down since last September, were nearing completion and it was scheduled to restart next month. Except that two helium leaks were discovered, and the restart has been pushed back to November. Woo-hoo!! Two additional months of existence!!

CELEBRITY BUZZ: We should have seen this coming. When the Large Hadron Collider starts up again in September, Tom Hanks will be the one to switch it on. Then it will create a black hole and destroy the Earth. First that terrible haircut, now this. Why, Tom? Why??

The super collider facility in Switzerland is about to go on-line. They’ll be starting smaller particle beaming experiments, working up to a full particle collision by the end of 2008. They’ll either solve some of the major problems of modern physics or tear a whole in space/time and end reality as we know it.
