This is not a simulation. This is a real thing! David Bowen's Tele-Present Water installation is a physical kinetic sculpture in Poland that re-creates the movement of waves at Shumagin Islands Alaska by interpreting data from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Berlin-based interactive media company ART+COM designs kinetic ball sculpture for BMW’s Welt exhibit. The installation consists of 714 metal balls that are individually suspended by strings. When set in motion, each ball moves independently to reproduce a vast array of forms and shapes. Check out the vid for a fat slice of space-age celestial bliss.
