This dog's got him beat by more than a hundred years. In 1805, English artist Philip Reinagle painted Portrait of an Extraordinary Musical Dog, which depicts a spaniel playing God Save the King on a piano. The original resides at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond. You can even buy a plushie version if you're into that kind of thing.
