An amateur astronomer recently noticed that the large red stripe that wraps around Jupiter's southern hemisphere is suddenly missing. Scientists are not certain, but they think that white high-altitude clouds are blocking the view of low-lying red clouds. (Don't worry, the Great Red Spot is still there.)
