Today marks the one-year anniversary of the EF-5 tornado that devastated the town of Joplin, Missouri. The tornado left behind is responsible for 161 deaths and hundreds of injuries, but one year later there are signs that the town is beginning to recover. Truly amazing stuff.
Culture Buzz Moosylvania assembled a series of limited-edition posters at BigCartel to benefit relief efforts in the tornado-stricken city of Joplin, Mo. Each poster is signed by the artist, numbered and screen printed by hand. Each poster is $25 and 100% of proceeds will be donated to the Southwest Missouri chapter of United Way to aid in economic reconstruction. (via buzzbrewery.com)

Culture Buzz Will Norton and his father were on their way home from Will's high school graduation when the Joplin tornado struck. Despite his father's frantic efforts to hold on to him, Will was sucked through the sun roof of their vehicle by the tornado. His father is in stable condition, but Will is still missing. Will Norton was known as Willdabeest on Youtube, where his video journals had been seen over 1.6 million times. His family has established a Facebook page to try and find him. Just one of hundreds of tragic stories to come out of Joplin.
