Business Buzz A gun rack company called “The BackUp” has issued a press release using the recent deaths of Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew as an example of why everyone needs to buy their product. From the release: “Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother were gunned down in their home Friday. Could an invaluable device have saved their lives? It’s called The BackUp and it is a bedside shotgun rack.” If you’d like to contact the company’s president, John Peters, to tell him what a scumbag he is, feel free. He’s available for interviews.

Celebrity Buzz The mother of actress and singer Jennifer Hudson was shot and killed in Chicago. Her brother, Jason, was also found dead. Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew is also missing, and she’s offering a $100,000 reward for his safe return. Update: Police have found a body that may be her nephew, Julian King.
