Rourke will be taking on the role of Whiplash in the highly anticipated sequel.The character first made an appearance in 1968 in the Tales of Suspense #97 comic book and has gone through several transformations over the years and became known as Blacklash in Iron Man #146 (May 1981).

Emily Blunt as Black Widow in Iron Man 2
Movie Buzz Emily Blunt is rumored to play Black Widow, aka Natasha Romanoff, in Iron Man 2. In the comics, and correct me if I'm wrong, Black Widow is more or less a former Soviet spy who wears a tight-ass black suit and uses high-tech weaponry both against and on behalf of S.H.E.I.L.D. (after a whole bunch of inter-Avenger drama). So it's really just a repeat of her role in The Devil Wears Prada minus the 'tude.
