“I see it now… you have teeth.”
The Cincinnati Zoo decided to introduce Savanna to someone her own age – he’s just not the same species… But they don’t seem to give a care.
I think what we can learn from this is that everyone, regardless of species, loves Doritos.
Just going to show that true love never discriminates.
This is some quality interspecies cuddling.
Okay, maybe not a million – but there’s a lot of them, you guys. And this kitten is all “it’s cool, bro. I’m just chilling with my buddies.”
I feel like I’m witnessing a private moment between these two. My ears have never been as clean as that lemur’s ears are now.
If these unlikely interspecies buddies can make it work, there’s hope for us all.
Admittedly, derpy owl’s attempt at bulldog riding doesn’t last for very long and they don’t get very far (read: they don’t get anywhere at all), but what’s here is gold. GOLD.
In this heartwarming photo we see Chendra, an Asian elephant, meeting Gus, a sea lion at the Oregon Zoo. Chendra met Gus while she was on one of her morning walks around the zoo.
A Reddit user posted these pictures and wrote “this little squirrel keeps coming in through the doggy door to hang out with my cat.” Ahhhhh!
Brb dying of cuteness.
Don’t try this with a cat, people.
Kira the dog has an extraordinary encounter with a large group of dolphins. Lucky dog, lucky dolphins!
Dog and cat friendships are an internet staple, but I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a series of pictures that conveyed pure love and friendship as well as these do. Best friends FOREVER, guys. (via lovemeow.com)
I’m starting to think animals are forming these interspecies friendships on purpose in order to harness the energy of millions of people aww-ing at once
Zoo babies turning the cute scale up to 11. Can’t even handle this.
Maybe we don’t have to choose after all. Feel free to employ your mute button, this video is a lot cuter without the little kid singing “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”
The epic struggle of cat vs. dog. [Editor’s Note: I was really scared of this video, but you don’t have to be! The dobie is very sweet.]
According to their Australian owner, Xena the miniature pig and and Jazz the Quaker parrot are like brother and sister. They don’t look related to me, but obviously they have a lot in common: they’re both adorable. (via animaltracks.today.msnbc.msn.com)
A zoo employee cared for this baby chimp after its mother died, but never expected that her dog would end up raising the chimp as one of her own. No word yet on whether it has been taught to bark!
Lick, lick, lick, lick, pose. Ludicrously adorable.
This is one brave (or suicidal) parakeet.
May this serve as inspiration for feline/rodent relations worldwide.
Solo’s owner says that he’s like the tiger’s “big brother.” He grew up with them, helped take care of them when they were just babies, and now he makes sure they know who’s boss.
This Rhodesian Ridgeback’s puppies have a new sibling after their mom adopted a little panther cub.
Spoiler alert: the bunny is the clear winner.
We’re not sure why this leopard is pretending to be a pig, but we’re glad the beagle is playing along with this charade.
Here’s something you don’t see very often.
