When I first took note of the Successful Black Man meme bumping around the web I thought, “Well that might be offensive to some.” However, it almost always made me laugh, though I'll admit to feeling kind of guilty for doing so. But now you can check out the funniest ones and feel guilty, too!

In TV, when a series “jumps the shark,” it means that it runs out of steam, and reaches the point where the premise has become tired and threadbare. But the idea of “jumping the shark” shouldn't just be limited to television. It happens on the Internet, too, when beloved running jokes and memes wear out the welcome and start to get stale.
Rage comics, animated GIFs, Nyan Cat, and other forms of online visual culture get the respect they deserve in “Off Book” from PBS Arts. Researchers, artists, and thinkers from BuzzFeed, Know Your Meme, MemeFactory, Dump.fm, and Morningside Analytics share their views on how Internet Memes impact the world.

Antoine Dodson, the double rainbow guy, and Numa Numa star in this epic adventure. I guess this is a real thing?

This captioned LOLcat photo was found in a Seattle antique store, and the photograph is dated 1905. I Can Haz Cheeseburger notes a few grammatical differences, but it is close enough: our internet meme calendar is now over 100 years old.
This impossible challenge is floating around the web. I can only do it when I am lying on my back - but that is cheating.
Tech Buzz The man who started the internet meme-machine and creator of LOLcat, 4chan, at age 15 was profiled in the Wall Street Journal. He's a mystery wrapped in an enigma. In researching him, I feel like I've delved into the seedy internet underground of teenage boydom.
Tech Buzz Take a photo of yourself after you’ve emptied your email inbox down to zero items. It’s like the Master Cleanse of email. I’ve got 931 unread items in my inbox…so needless to say, it’ll be some time before you’ll be seeing a photo of me looking victorious.
An actual scan of a newspaper advice column about how to deal with a godson whose loves “scouting out camel toads” at the pool. This is a classic email forward from 2005 but it is never too late to get high huffing Camel Toad.
