Music Buzz Here is another enchanting Portland-based indie band for your consideration, with a twist: they tour on bikes! Or they used to. Now they're SXSW hotshots and about to tour with the Decemberists, so they use vans, but still: the stories from their bike tours are completely charming. There's also a documentary in the works, if you're interested, and the whole music thing too.

Carles from Hipster Runoff illustrates the roadmap to becoming a successful band using the internet. I enjoy this blog for its alt vs main analysis and use of the word “dudebro,” but this breakdown of how indie bands achieve success is kind of sad but true. But then again, what do I know?
