An elderly gunman opened fire with a rifle inside the crowded U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum on Wednesday, killing a security guard before being shot. Authorities said they were investigating a white supremacist as the suspect.

Two people, including the gunman, were wounded in a shooting at a Holocaust memorial museum in Washington D.C. The shooter has been identified as known white supremacist James Von Brunn. He and a security guard were rushed to the hostipal shortly afterwards. Their status is currently unknown.
