Pretty smashing video. Policeman Dan Pascoe attempted to use his squad car to prevent a BMW thief from escaping onto the highway outside of London. The BMW hit the squad car as Pascoe was getting out, hurtling him into the air. Pascoe immediately jumps up, chases down the BMW on foot and eventually catches the thief. Pascoe suffered no injuries. Said the very model of a modern super constable, asked to recall what he was thinking when he was struck, “Oh dear, this hasn't turned out the way it was planned.”
Celebrity Buzz Following her fierce counter-attack to the shaving foam heard round the world, Wendi Deng has stepped out from behind husband Rupert Murdoch to become an international celebrity in her own right. Deng is 37 years Murdoch's junior and a former employee of the embattled mogul. Thanks to her pie-slapping skills, Deng has become a national hero in her native China, affectionately referred to as Tiger Woman. Celebrity Buzz A former associate of Shaq, Robert Ross, claims in a lawsuit that the basketball star asked him to assassinate enemies and mistresses. Among the targets: a member of the Crips who disrespected O'Neal in front of his wife, a mistress for whom O'Neal had paid for an abortion, and a “renown (sic) record producer.” He was also asked to break the arm of a rival NBA player. Ross doesn't confirm if he carried out the alleged hits, but he seems to be implying that he'd like compensation for services rendered. (via tmz.com)
