Lebanese artist Ginou Choueiri makes real life potato heads. There's even one of ol' George W., which should finally give you the chance to stab the ex-Prez in the fork with an eye.
Humo Magazine's shamefully offensive ad reminds us that the most tragic event in our nation's recent history is but weeks away! Most nauseating ad for a magazine ever? Mission accomplished.
Right-wing blogs and news sites are talking about about “george w. bush.” We’re tracking the latest headlines on this topic and update this page with links as they come in.
Culture Buzz The art world seems very keen on offbeat portraits of George W. Bush these days. Obama gets Shepard Fairey and Bush gets “Shoe Throwing on Canvas.” I'm honestly not sure which is better.

As the President prepares to move out of the White House, he reveals his most difficult moment as Commander-In-Chief. His most nerve-wracking moment? First learning about the attacks on 9/11? The realization there were no weapons of mass destruction? The colonoscopy? The shoes? Nope. Throwing out a pitch at the 2001 World Series: “I never felt that anxious any other time during my presidency, curiously enough.”
Watch as every world leader at the G20 Summit declines to shake President George Bush's hand during a group photo op. As CNN's Rick Sanchez puts it, this is almost sad.
The ASU track team convinces Bush to give the Shocker in their official White House photo. Soak it in; we only have two months left of this stuff. (Via.)

This excellent essay (written by an Irish blogger) touches on the shift we might witness in pop culture as our President-elect replaces W., who argubly ushered in the age of Paris Hilton. Also kind of amazing: George W. Bush is compared to Reece (thanks, readers!) on Malcolm In The Middle, which — when you think about it — is eerily dead on.
Politics Buzz Laura may be getting her own book; George, on the other hand, can't find an interested publisher. Poor Bush — low approval ratings are bad news for shopping a book proposal, especially in a down economy. Maybe he needs to start drinking again, head to rehab after Obama's inauguration, then battle his addiction and go on a national speaking tour and then try to sell his book.
TV Buzz The media is all revved up to see how The Daily Show (and political comedy in general) will thrive in the era of Obama, a president who, unlike Bush, is shaping up to not be an a-hole and single-handedly destroy the country. If all were right in the world, Dubya would get his own segment on The Daily Show, letting us see how funny the guy can be when not, you know, controlling the fate of the free world.
A smear video questions McCain’s allegedly bad temper, suggesting that the erratic behavior he displays (which has apparently earned him the nickname of “Senator Hothead”) could prove lethal if he were to win the election. If only we’d had a video like this eight years ago, one that questioned the capabilities of a man whose alleged idiocy would prove to be a tad problematic.
