TV Buzz She’s getting her own TV show, again! It’s apparently an idea she came up with six years ago — will it be based on her book?
Tech Buzz A site devoted to our language, badly translated. From the people who brought you I Can Has Cheezburger, all manner of packaging and signage that has it somehow wong.
Celebrity Buzz The 82-year-old steals the show at Comedy Central’s roast of Bob Saget. See, America, it is possible to be older than John McCain and still contribute meaningfully to the culture.
It’s Garfield Minus Garfield with that the dead monster that washed ashore playing the role of Jon.
A trenchant look at the microblogging site, described “a blog website for idiots and assholes.”
Movie Buzz Funny Or Die has picked the movie at random and called together an Internet campaign to turn the 1993 flop into a cult favorite. Now we know what Buzzfeed would have looked like in 1993! And who said irony was dead?
Culture Buzz Their sketch show on the BBC, That Mitchell And Webb Look, have earned them hardcore fans on both sides of the pond. Monty Python has found a welcome replacement in the cleverly absurd blokes who, incidentally, also star in the UK version of the Mac-vs.-PC ads. Bloody brilliant! (Also be sure to check out Peep Show, another Mitchell and Webb show we highly recommend.)
TV Buzz Fresh off turns on Mad Men and Flight of the Conchords, Schaal has found a new job as a commentator for The Daily Show. Following in the footsteps of Carrell, Colbert, Helms, and Corddry, Schaal has been handed a highly coveted opportunity in the comedy world. We’re thrilled to see her get some exclusive face time, although we wouldn’t complain if Comedy Central canned Mind of Mencia in favor of Penelope: Princess Of Pets, too.
